If you've got a late model Ford vehicle and want to make a spare electronic key, here's ho to do it your self. IMPORTANT NOTE: Two programmed keys are required to program additional keys. 1. Insert the first programmed key into the ignition, and turn the ignition to the on position. Wait one second, then turn back to the off position and remove the key. 2. Within 5 seconds, insert the second programmed key and turn the ignition to the on position. Wait one second ,then turn back to the off position and remove the key. 3. Within 10 seconds, insert the new key into the ignition and turn the ignition to the on position. Wait one second. The theft light indicator will come on for three seconds, then go off. The new key will now start the car. 4. Turn the ignition to the off position, then turn to the start position and start the car. This process must be repeated from the beginning, to program any additional keys. A maximum of 8 keys can be programmed into the PATS system, All additional keys will be ignored by the processor. So thats the easy do it your self method, now, if you've got only one key or no keys at all the 2nd method will require the vehicle to be plugged into an SDD/T-Code programer, and for that you'll need IM Locksmith. We can make a low cost spare for you in minutes.
